Reusing finfire research

You may share and adapt our research papers if you give credit and link back, and if your use is not commercial. Commercial use needs our written permission.

The finfire research papers are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International). This page is a plain-English summary, not legal advice, and it does not replace the license: the official legal code is what applies.

What you may do

On these conditions:

What needs our written permission

Commercial use, for example in something you sell or in advertising. Write to hello@finfire.org before you use it, say what you want to do, and wait for a yes.

What the license covers

Everything under finfire's research section: the text of each paper, its figures and charts, its header graphic, the Reddit summary, the saved input files that let you repeat a result, and the result tables.

What it does not cover

All rights in these are reserved. The Terms of Use say the same in section 5.

How to credit us

A credit line that meets the conditions, using the newest paper as the example:

Source: "Bucket Refill vs. Single-Pot SWP: Stress-Testing the 'Annual Top-Up' Rule in a Sideways Market" – finfire Quantitative Research Series, Paper #5, finfire.org, https://finfire.org/research/bucket-refill. Licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/). Changes were made: [say what you changed].

Each paper ends with its own citation box, with the paper's number and address already filled in.
